Order messages by date, with new and unread at the top#184

The order of messages seems to be very random. Could they be in date order and have some way of showing unread messages, like a simple email inbox?

The messages should be shown according to the last activity (similar to your mobile phone text inbox or email system).

There is a toggle at the top which allows you to filter out all system messages. Would this help? See screenshot below.

Is doesn’t seem to work properly even when filtering out the system messages. For example, these are the top 4 messages showing at the moment. You’ll notice that the 3rd message is actually from 18/4/24.

Hi there, I’ve had a look at your account and it looks correctly ordered to me on first glance, but I might be misunderstanding.

Please note that we will consider a system message in this ordering so it is the order of the last ‘activity’ (system message or normal message).
When you toggle of the system messages they just disappear but the order does not change. It still presents in the order of the last activity.

I can see from this chat that you would ideally like more functionality with the messages page.

I’ll take a note:

1. When toggled to switch off system messages would like order of messages to disregard any system messages

Is that correct? I know our design team are working on improvements.

Hello everyone that has voted for better message ordering. I hope you will have seen the new Messages Page.

Improvements include:

• Notifications in the menu
• Sorted by last individual messages (not system messages)
• Mark as Read or Unread to handle your task list.
